It's been a long time coming, but here it is: new music from Beth In Battle Mode! Visit our MySpace, facebook, or last.fm pages to heaer the title track from our new album Hot Science. Recorded once again with Mike Kuehn at Sleepytown Sound, it's the next step for us and we're really happy with how it's turned out. We hope you will be too! Barring any last-minute delays, it should be available for sale on our online store on Friday, February 20th in high-quality 320kbps mp3 format - with an added bonus track, no less. Those more interested in owning a physical CD will be rewarded, too, with a beautiful cardboard sleeve designed by our pal Pete Ross from The Speaking Tongues. Meanwhile, for those of you here in our hometown of Toronto, we'll be launching the album on Friday, March 20th with a Hot Science Fair at the El Mocambo, which will be a special night for sure. More details to come soon! We'll be hitting the road right afterwards; already, we have a show confirmed in Ottawa on Friday, March 27th at the Live Lounge, but we expect to add more dates in the next few weeks. It's time to get excited: Hot Science is on its way!

Happy holidays from Beth In Battle Mode! It's been a fun year, but you'll forgive us if right now we're mostly interested in 2009. It won't be long before we have a new album and lots of shows to play! We've been working on both of those things lately. The album, entitled "Hot Science", is sounding better than we even anticipated, and there's still a bit of work that has to be done on that but we're optimistic you'll start hearing stuff in February. And there'll be plenty of shows to follow...hopefully we'll see you in your town!
In the meantime, we've added yet another way to buy "Technical Know-How" online - directly from us! Go to the "media" page and scroll down, and you'll be able to access our online store, where you can buy the album in 320kbps mp3 format - that's CD quality!

Long time no update! But that doesn't mean we've been idly twiddling our thumbs, going "doo de doo, doo de doo". In fact, we've been hard at work on a new album with the hopes of getting into your iPods and car stereos in the early part of 2009. We're very excited and think you'll enjoy the new material...and if you're in Toronto, you have a chance to get a bit of sneak preview on October 25th as we're playing a show at C'est What, site of the very first BIBM show all the way back in 2005. It's not a big venue, so get there nice and early; our friends The Hey Now will entertain you before we take the stage!
